101 Best Web Freebies You Probably Don’t Know

Hands up to those who love freebies. Giving out free stuff is a great technique to entice buyers to shop with you. People are offering a whole load of free things, you can get free news, free courses, free news, free downloads and a whole lot more.

Interestingly, this week, BusinessWeek.com set out to find the most useful products and services available for free on the Web, yes, 101 of them.

The list consists of freebies from software, tech tools, health advices to brochures, you may have heard some of them but I’m sure you’ve never heard 90% of them.

Check out the 101 freebies on the web BusinessWeek.com found:
1. freepettreats.com – Ad-supported site FreePetTreats.com will send you free treats to use in training your pet. Supplies may be limited.

2. ubuntu.com – The Linux-based Ubuntu operating system is free and comes with a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software, browser, e-mail, media player, and photo-editing software.

3. ipods.freepay.com – Freepay does give away free iPods (even the new Touch), with one big, headache-inducing catch.

4. pandora.com – Select an artist or a song you like, and Pandora creates a free playlist of similar songs based on deep data.

5. gimp.org – Open-source download GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) performs many of the same image editing and retouching tasks for free.

6. marvel.com/digitalcomics - Offers 250 free comics at a time like Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, and more.

7. wildgames.com/console – The WildGames Game Console, free downloadable software, allows you to search for games, download and organize them, and play them for free.

8. okcupid.com – Offers free some of the features users pay for on other sites, such as personality matching tests.

9. motionbox.com – Simplest-to-use video editing tool on the Web— most of its features are free.

10. divshare.com – Upload an unlimited amount of photos and videos to one personal account, keep them there forever free, and access them without having to redownload to your hard drive.

I’d say the free software tools like Adobe Reader and Winzip are pretty useful for people who do alot of things on the internet. Other things being useful to me will be the messenger, for me to stay connected with friends and buyers. Working home can be pretty lonely.

    I really find it difficult to believe anything is free on the internet. Sa the saying goes nothing is free even in Free Town. What you’re offered for free in most cases you pay for in other ways. Somehow somebody has to pay the price.
