3 Useful Website For Online Scams

Most internet frauds, hack activities and spam cases goes unreported. It is undeniably very hard to detect these activities and nobody can be sure how big online ID theft is.

As more and more people go online, fraudsters will be attracted to online opportunities too. The next time you suspect something fishy, try reporting them. I’m not sure what are the chances of fraudster being caught that way, but at least you are doing your part to inform others and the necessary parties about it.

I found these 3 neat websites about reporting online scams. There are also some useful guidelines that you can read to protect yourself online.

Plenties of useful guides from the University of Michigan that explains how you can recognise ID theft scams online.

2. Malaysian Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT)
http://www.mycert.org.my
You can report suspicious, malicious or criminal activity online here. There are also tons of info about current online scams and problems plaguing users in Malaysia. Visit this site for news and tips on incidence reporting.

3. ScamBusters

http://www.scambusters.com

Good details on how some popular scams work so you can avoid common pitfalls. Wondering how that Nigerian uncle got your e-mail address? Yeah, he told you he needs your help to withdraw millions from a forgotten bank account. Just check out this site.

    I think none of the three websites provide avenue to complaint against websites that trick people into buying their ebook for get rich quick scheme….. :sad:
