In addition to leaving just postive, neutral or negative Feedback rating for a seller, buyers can now leave sellers detailed seller ratings.
Buyers can leave detailed seller ratings in four areas: item as described, communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling charges.
Each of this are rated in a 5 stars scale, 5 being rated the highest and 1 lowest.
eBay now placed high importance in DSR. A good DSR gives you many benefits, some of which – better best match results, eBay fees discounts, draw buyers confidence, boost sales and gives you the right to be cocky with your Powerseller status.
If you crave to be a top super eBay Powerseller, here are a few strategies guaranteed to turn your DSR into a pretty sight.
1. List without an item description. Just a little line which says “Contact me for more information”.
Buyer wants convenience. Describe your item accurately, and include whether it is new or used, and honor your selling terms. Also remember to include any defects on your item and how long you have been using it if used.
2. Overpromise.
Don’t describe reconditioned or refurbished items as “new.” When buyers see the word “new,” they expect new, not “like new.”
3. Unrealistic expectations.
Set clear expectations for shipping time up front in the Item Description. If you do not ship on weekends, state that in your description.
4. Never reply to emails or questions.
Promptly and clearly communicate – respond to emails from your buyer and proactively provide order status updates as needed.
5. Easily irritated when a problem arises.
When problem arises, don’t assign blame. Work with your buyer to resolve the problem quickly and professionally. Most of the buyers are in for a real deal, they do not open dispute unnecessarily.
