5 reasons why… I’m blogging
Thanks to ‘CEO’ Alex Yeo’s tagging, this title allow me rethink the reason why I started a blog in the first place and to review if my blog has headed to the direction I wanted.
1. To get myself heard and to get in touch ![]()
Although I enjoy working home and setting my own time on my tasks, I admit I somehow do feel isolated from the world outside. Pleasantly, blogging has opened up a new world to me, the people I met were very warm and I especially love the part where we are able to comment on posts, which created a discussion like environment.
2. To sharpen my weapons
I checked out many blogs daily to learn and to entertain myself. Miserably, I found that only a minority of blogs have a good flow where the writers can present themselves really well. That in turn created many readers unintentionally, even though their first objective for blogging was not for the money. I have always admired how well they could put things down in words and that secretly inspired me to start writing.
3. To have something to do when there is a thunderstorm ![]()
Whenever there’s a sign of thunderstorm, me and mom would frantically unplug all power cables from all electrical household items like the TV, modem, computers and laptops! I find myself really idle at moment like this! This is when I’d type out my blog post in Words while listening to the tic-tac-tic-tac music on the backgound, save it and upload it into my blog later when the rain stops. (You guess it; this post was written during a thunderstorm)
4. To spread my eggs in different basket
Yes, I’m happily earning a steady income from eBay; it also means that this is the only place where my earnings are coming. Many incidents have led me to think that we should really have more than one avenue of income… you know… things happen.
5. To absorb more each and everyday
Blogging is a completely different world from eBay and I am starting to learn a whole lot of things from it!! Your blog, my blog, Adsense, SEO, advertisings, clicks, CSS, whatever… there are something to learn everyday!!!
To me, blogging is just like brewing a good cup of coffee. It may need a little more time to get a really fine satisfying cup, but once it is ready, the result can really keep you pleased!
Whaddya think?
