Simplx - A Dropshipper That You Should Drop?
May 10th, 2008 by JH
Simplx doesn’t seems to have a very good repultation amongst the eCommerce community, and this is no small part due to the fact that you have to pay them $20 just to put in an application to join. You are not guaranteed to be accepted, so you may lose your $20 straightaway if you are accepted then there are a lot more fees involved when you finally get around to selling, anything from $500 to $3500.
Thankfully I undertook a lot of research before I put my money into this drop shipper, and if you look at the Better Business Bureau you will see how many complaints they have filed against them
I am not saying that no one has had any success with them as I believe there are several hundred people joining Simplx each and every week. It’s just that I haven’t found anyone who has made a living from Simplx.
The theory is much the same as other drop shippers. You sell the company’s products wherever you can, and then buy the stock from the company once you have actually sold the product. The products are in generally much cheaper than retail prices which make them ideal for selling on auction sites like eBay. Until I have found some satisfied sellers from Simplx, it is a site that I will keep an eye on for now.
I’d rather go for a reliable and reputable dropshipping services like WorldWide Brands.

Ya know, some of these dropshippers drive me nuts. I wrote a post about it a while back, url is below (sorry for the plug)

The ones like you talk about here with the fees are something else, they have their own problems separate to the dropshippers I refer to here as well. Good post. Scott
