BattleBids.com - Bidding Can Be As Silly As This
May 13th, 2008 by JH

The next time you want to bid for an eBay item, think BattleBids.com. BattleBids.com makes bidding on eBay auctions fun with interactive games.

For example, I chose the Bid Racer games and wanted to bid on “The Simpsons Script”. I entered the item number, the the minimum bid amount on the right, choose bid or buy it now. You can also select an action options. I chose “oil slick’ as the action.
In Bid Racer, each car in the race represents a unique bidder in the auction. Once I bid and if I am the high bidder, my car will put an oil slick onto the race track to slow down the car who was in the lead (previous bidder).
BattleBids.com uses eBay token to bid on your behalf and will update the auctions accordingly.
Remember to choose a message to display in the game once you are the high bidder to boost your ego. “So long, Sucker!” will be nice.
Other than a short few seconds of interactive fun, I am not sure if there are any other reasons behind this idea from BattleBids. Logging in, copy and paste the auction number is a waste of time. If you are really bored and have nothing much to do, give this a try when you want to bid on any eBay auction next time.
You can also add BattleBids.com games into your auctions and allow potential bidder to play the games when bidding on your auctions.

Seems a little strange though, I mean .. doesn’t it defeat the whole purpose of bidding? Unique idea but not a winner IMO. Game integration is always good though haha
