eBay Boycott - Did You Join Them?
The new eBay restructuring policies have drive lots of sellers mad and call for a boycott for the period of Feb 18-25 2008.
WebProNews reported that at one point, sellers boycotting eBay due to an increase in Final Value fees claimed a drop to 12 million listings would represent a victory. One third party count at DealsCart found a low of some 13.5 million listings on one day last week.
Changes are difficult to accept and people are always prone to resistance. Well, I am sure the strikes will never make eBay revert its policies.
With that likely being the case, most eBay sellers who are truly dissatisfied with the online marketplace are taking measure to sell on other sites like Amazon and Online Auction.
These sites too offer auction services, and plenty of options for more active sellers to create and operate ecommerce sites, not to mention the lower fees, which are more acceptable to most current eBay sellers.

I did not exactly join the strike. I will continue to sell on eBay as an additional exposure to my products or as a leisure pursuit though.

Nope, I have to say that I did not join ‘them’. I had a few auctions running through the period but I am not a big fan of the changes.
Hello Gerri, don’t think anyone will be much of a fan of the new policies. I don’t really mind too much about the increase in fees, but the part being only to leave positive to buyers is funny.
