I was very serious about the idea. I even told most of my friends to keep an eye out for the product because people should be talking about it. I even bet one friend that in the next week he would have a discussion with someone about my product. I won the bet.
I run my business straight from my phone. My network is with facebook on mobile. A business tool too? Uh yes, facebook has become the quintessential networking tool.
It’s like what the Rolodex did for the 50′s. Facebook is just like a Rolodex from the 50′s actually… If it is on steroids and drinking a case of energy drinks. Even the rolodex was an improvement on something called Wheeldex. Facebook was an improvement to pretty much everything on the internet.
Anyone remember Compuserve, Prodigy, and AOL? Very few people do now because those plans were definitely faulty in concept and design.
I measure the success of my business not only with the amount of money but with the amount of clicks. I want to know that it is advertising itself through word of mouth, through internet visibility. Business, to me has become so much easier.
Anything other than my product selling on auto-pilot would really be too much work. I am in no way lazy mind you. I am fighting against what my father had to suffer through. He was responsible for our survival and he never really got to see us. He was on so many business trips to make us the money we needed.
So now fathers like myself don’t have to travel as much. We can do most of our work from home. We can connect with the world from one device and never have to leave the front door. If you are a parent, instead of having your kid raised by a really frazzled mom, because she would be doing it by herself, you get to be there to help out.
You should really begin to change your perception on the future of business. Trips across the world for boardroom meetings with foreign investors? Right here and right now this can be accomplished with a phone call…
And maybe a translator mobile app if you don’t speak another language. The boardroom is infinite with facebook on mobile. A business tool too? YES!
