Free eBay and Paypal Calculator For Costs Tracking

Selling entails tracking - keeping track of your profits, inventories and costs. It kills to know that you are actually making losses when you rake in that five figures, titanium Powerseller $20,000 sales monthly. And you thought you were a winner and sales were everything.

Here is a simple calculator tool for you to analyse your profit or loss on ebay. This free auction calculator is free and pretty easy to use.

The eBay listing and Paypal fees are automatically generated for you. All you need to do is select the eBay auction site that you sell and enter the necessary details like the cost of your item, starting bid price, buy it now price and sold price, click calculate.

A table is then generated complete with the details you entered plus how much profit or loss you make for sold or unsold items.

Here is a table of my profit for each item I sell at a starting price of gbp0.99, for example.

Thus, for every item that is unsold, I will be paying gbp0.26. And make a profit of gbp2.20 for every item that I manage to sell. Multiply that by the total items I listed per month with a starting price of gbp0.99, deduct my profit from costs, I will be able to track my profit for that month.

It was mentioned in the free calculator homepage that…

…then you’ll get a detailed Fees Analysis page, complete with some useful comments, hints and tips about optimizing your sales and saving on the insertion fees.

I couldn’t find any hints or tips about optimizing my sales though. Still, this is a convenient way for you to compute your profits or losses selling on eBay.

Give it a try and let me know what you think about it!

Thats pretty useful info. I dont do much buying and selling at eBay but I do know a few who do it quite regularly. Maybe I have to get them to take a peek here.

After your post about the fees involved in selling on eBay, I wanted to ask how you figure out what price to sell. You’ve answered my question.

Thanks a lot for this information. I tend to make a good amount on eBay each month. I found it to be very useful in helping me with planning the auction itself.
