Why Working From Home Can Be A Bad Thing

Working from home can be a bad thing. You can lost track of time, lost track of your posture, lost track of your health, lost track of your social circles, lost track of your eating habit and lost track of keeping your home clean. Ok, that’s to the extreme, but I’m sure you’d run into one or two of these if you work from home, especially when you are just getting started.

I know, time management is important when you work from home. And unless you are 101% discipline, you will very well lost track sometimes.

One fine evening, you can be so excited with some researches online, that you stay up pass over your bedtime, forget to drink, forget to eat or even forget to go to the… toilet. It’s true.

And it doesn’t last for just one evening. It can go on until you finish your researches and done with your new project.

Working in front of the PC in your bath robe and uncombed hair is fun, but gradually you forget about the need to groom yourself too.

Suddenly, oh, you look into the mirror and find that you have that extra crowfeet, a new blemish on your cheek and a strand of white hair! Yikes! You are looking older so fast!

So, stop worry too much, relax, have fun and take good care of yourself from head to toe. Here’s a video on how to look younger than you really are.

Enjoy the video and enjoy working from home!

That post of yours addresses a lot of rules that i made for myself recently to organize my work day since i work from home. Since i itch to check my mail first thing in the morning i allow myself that, but only that before my morning ritual of clease, tone, moisturise, change into something good enough to be able to receive visitors and a good breakfast, then start work in order of priority (sometimes priority is determined by what i enjoy doing most :) ).

For me working at home takes a lot of effort and self control. Its like experiencing being your own boss.

    hahaha, great post.

I find the greatest thing about working from home is that I can follow my energy cycles. When I’m feeling energetic I can get tons done - whether it be during the day or later at night. And when I’m feeling blah, I can go for a jog, catch up on e-mail, do some chores, or even take a nap. :)

If you’re not passionate about what you do though, you’ll need either a LOT of self-control or a more interesting job. ;)
