How To Have Multiple IDs on eBay
Ads:If you are selling heavily on eBay, selling multiple items on eBay in different categories range or buying heavily on eBay, it is advisable to have multiple IDs on eBay to better organize your transactions.
After chatting with eBay Live support, I found out that a person can actually own an unlimited amount of eBay ID. An eBay account can be linked to one email address and be registered using one credit card only. So each account has to be registered using a unique email address and unique credit card number.
How about your Paypal address? You can use one PayPal’s account for up to eight eBay IDs. If you create up to 16 eBay IDs, you will need to have two different Paypal email addresses or accounts.
When you have different Paypal accounts, bear in mind, you’d need different bank account as well. One Paypal account must be linked to a unique email address and bank account.
I hope that answers some of the questions that have been playing in our minds. I am contemplating to create a second eBay ID for the purpose of buying or perhaps one more for selling in eBay.com.my.

I have multiple eBay IDs. Each one of them have their own paypal account, bank account. In that case, I don’t mess with the cash flow.
I think someone is just jealous your success on eBay.
Many top seller I knew for a long time. They all have multiple stores selling different things. It’s wise to have different ID. It make sense.
It doesn’t make sense to me, if a seller is selling girl’s underwear and car audio in the same store.

Reasons?
You only listen to your car audio while driving or sleeping in the car. you only need one car audio unless you have more than one car.
However, You will wear sexy underwear all day long until you or someone take it off (oops!). Also, You will need more than one underwear even you only have one bott.
I can ship bulk load underwear, but just few car audios from China. Ouch! The shipping cost hurts.
Last one! Woman don’t usually listen to loud and heavy bass music in the car, and want to turn it off. However, man will look at the woman with sexy underwear and get turn on!
That did not sound fair, isn’t it?
I only sell woman and baby related stuff. Woman got more buying power than man!
It is true, multiple ebay accounts can be very useful, and I have had and used many over the years. I used one account primarily for selling and the other for buying to protect the 100% feedback I had on the selling account.
The paypal thing is another issue. I would be very weary of having more than one paypal account. Paypal has made it clear (at least it was setup like this about 6 months ago) that there can only be one account holder per person.
You may be able to setup more than one account if you have a different bank account, email address, and possibly a different address, but I wouldn’t want paypal to find out about it. I am just going on past experience with paypal over the last 6-8 years or so we have been with them. Over the years I have seen some not so lucky people with frozen accounts over far less.
I think paypal has really calmed down a bit and is probably not as gun shy as they used to be (law suites will do that), or perhaps it is competition from Google checkout, either way, we use them every day, but never with a multiple account.
If you do have more than one account I would be careful with transferring funds between accounts as well. Just my $.02, take it for what its worth I guess. Thanks for the great post.

As far as I am aware, there is no limit on the number of Paypal accounts a user can have, except that each account must be linked to a unique bank account.
Like eBay accounts though, if one is suspended, the other will follow.
Jenny. If you do not post this here, I will find other ways of getting this message across. If you stand to believe I am a hoax or I am just making this up, then I believe you will let this post run here if you have nothing to hide.
Can you prove that the multiple accounts are under your name? Because I was trying to say is how can you have 3 eBay IDs with different registered names where you control all 3. My mistake in the previous postings as I did not clearly state it.
So, my point is simple -
Jenny uses 3 ebay IDs.
1. ebay ID #1 - registered to jenny - linked to jennys paypal
2. eBay ID #2 - registered to someone else - linked to someone elses paypal
3. eBay ID #3 - registered to someone else - linked to someone elses paypal
But all 3 IDs are being used by jenny at her home and this IS against the ToC. You cannot log in someone’s elses account and use it. Moreover when you accept paypal payments on behalf of the other persons account. By US Federal Laws, this is a crime. Even logging in another persons eBay ID.
Well, it’ pretty simple. Lets look at it this way;
MrABC already has one eBay ID.
MrABC goes and get his brother/relative details to create another eBay ID. This was done because one could not withdraw paypal monies locally (back then).
MrABC now has 2 eBay accounts under him. So, he uses them both to sell. Well, the emails are in fact different but the crime here is that you are using someone elses eBay ID to do this. So you basicially have a few accounts ‘run’ by you but not under your name.
That’s my point. Also, to back up my case, the latest ebay ID jenny uses to trade in the USA has the same pictures and layout of her UK account. And she dares to claim she runs only one ID?
Maybe I am wrong and that Jenny is ‘letting’ someone else copy her UK listings exactly until the same picture is used in the listings?
You want a clean clear picture of this, here it is, wit no user id’s posted whatsoever.

I have just chat live online with eBay support. I can not find the TOC about the multiple user ID issues.
According to eBay support, these are the answer I got.
You can have multiple USER IDs as long as the following policy are met.
1. Don’t cross selling
2. Don’t bid on your own item
3. Don’t try to get anyone of of the account created from the same IP or login from the same IP banned. It will also ban your other accounts
4. Follow the selling policies. Don’t do anything stupid.
5. Each accounts have their own email, credit card and bank accounts
In my case, I operate multiple companies (stores) and product lines, each one have their own ebay user IDs, credit cards, paypal accounts and bank accounts.
There is nothing wrong with it. According to eBay, you don’t even have to associate all accounts together. They are separate identity.
That’s it! Now! Let’s off-top before the winter coming …

By the way, nice work on cleaning out the US account and also changing the other 2 templates. Seriously, if you really have one account as you claimed earlier, (which I wonder why) you would have not gone through such lengths to change both templates so they will not look like they come from the same seller.
