Turning Hobby Into A Lucrative Business

It has been a while since we last watch an eBay Powerseller success story on video. Here is another video to share with you - how Gilbert Ledesma, an eBay Powerseller from Phillipines turns his hobby into a lucrative eBay business.

He first started selling miniatures Jeepneys on eBay. Miniatures jeepneys was initially a local family business and a hobby. After seeing how well these sell on eBay and the potential of making an income, he expanded his range of items to include more collectibles. Other items brought in are tags, cell phones, accessories and even laptops.

His simple strategies for success?

1. Sell high quality products at lowest costs possible.
2. Be trustworthy.
3. Sell unique products which are difficult to compete.

It is very easy to do, you just post unique items online, it sells and you generate a sizable amount of income. Where else can you tap into an worldwide market so easily?

So, you see it is actually very easy to sell on eBay and achieve the Powerseller status. You just need to make sales of $1,000 a month. But of course, that is the gross sales figures. You still need to minus out the costs of things and see how much you actually make.

When you have a goal to rake in $1,000 of NET profit a month, you can easily attain more than $1,000 in sales. And that should be your first step to achieving the Powerseller status where you then gradually work on to the next Powerseller level.

What about your strategies for success?

    Jenny:

This is the post I thought was missing. I read it on Bloglines When I clicked on it, it says page not found on your blog.

I guess you were trying to post it the same time.

Anyway. This post is kind of encouragement to me. I am not a eBay auction fan, but I think I need to spend more time on it. ;-)

    thanks!

ebay is great to get rid of unwanted items or outdated gear. as a business i think its a hard sell. some people are good at it but most don’t get past the first inning. its like poker. you need alot of fish or bad players to keep the game going. look at all the noob poker players that started playing after seeing moneymaker win the world series. all those poker books you see at barnes or borders. same with ebay selling books. i think its possible and i’m just beginning to understand the potential to make money online. its hedging your bets. have a blog, do some aff marketing, grow a forum, do some ebay. its a numbers game. instead of one website that makes 1000 a month as the goal. set up 10 that make 100 or even better set up a thousand that make 10/a month.
