Powersellers Program Improvement - Good Job!
Taking effect in November 2007 is several enhancement program eBay announced in eBay Live 2007 in Boston. One of the best improvement I see is on the Powersellers program.
eBay is starting to appreciate the efforts of more good hardworking sellers and decide to reward them with the Powerseller title too.
The new improvement will see eBay adding an annual (12-month) sales volume. The current Powerseller program has a 3-month requirement. This new add-on will allow many seasonal sellers who do most of their business in a specific season to be included in the Powerseller program.

Also great news on “items sold” as an alternate to the dollar sales requirement for High-volume, Low-Average Selling Price sellers. This greatly benefits the great sellers who do a large volume in lower priced items.
Plus, a little good news for all Bronze Powersellers: If you meet the annual requirement of $12,000 or 1,200 items, you’ll get FREE prioritized email support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, plus 24-hour phone support.
Powersellers play a major role in keeping buyers coming back to eBay, perhaps that is another way of inducing eBay sellers confidence in eBay again.

It’s a shame the customer service levels that US sellers enjoy are not being shared by the UK market at the moment.
There is a serious glitch in the ebay/paypal link that means all payments are showing as pending, so each transaction has to be individually and manually traced.
“Sponsored Links” are littering the site and sending buyers to off-ebay outlets, and soon searches are going to be ranked according to the fundamentally flawed Detailed Seller Ratings.
In the original communciation, it mentioned that powersellers who win unpaid item disputes will also get any listing upgrade fees back. Currently, if I pay £10 for a featured auction, and it ends with a Non-Payer, I can claim back my final value fee and gain an insertion fee credit, but the featured fee, gallery, subtitle etc are NOT refunded!
Grrrrr.
I’m just in a bad mood as I have over 200 DVD’s, around 50 PC games, and close to 450 CD’s to get listed and I have NO motivation to get started on them….
