Largest Celebrity Memorabilia Auction Honors World AIDS Day

BID 2 BEAT AIDS is a huge entertainment celebrity memorabilia auction, with proceeds going to LIFEbeat, the music industry’s AIDS fundraising and service charity. Previous Bid2BeatAIDS auctions raised over $175,000.
There are nearly 1000 celebrity items for BID 2 BEAT AIDS, making it the largest charity auction of its kind in eBay history.

This year’s eBay auction began on December 1, 2007 (World AIDS Day). Each item will be up for auction for exactly ten days.
What is in the auction?
1. Over ONE HUNDRED “Lend a Hand to LIFEbeat” original items. We asked celebrities to trace their own hands on a special card, sign them, and creatively decorate them. From Jack Black to Britney Spears to Kathy Griffin, the stars got extremely creative — and you can own these one of a kind items.
2. The tambourines used in his performance at the 2005 VMAs — signed by 50 Cent.
3. Signed instruments from Foo Fighters and Lyfe Jennings.
4. A signed book from Madonna.
5. Over TWO HUNDRED official, real RIAA gold/platinum record awards for artists including Annie Lennox, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Michael Jackson and more.
6. Rare rock tour crew jackets for lots of artists, including Guns N Roses, Cher, George Michael & Prince.
7. Front row tickets and a backstage meeting with Joan Rivers.
