L’Oreal Takes Legal Action Against eBay

World’s largest French cosmetics group takes legal action against eBay.
Like any other branded goods, L’Oreal has been facing an increasing volume of illegal trade in fake fragrances and fake cosmetic products on some online auction sites.
L’Oreal said most online auction web sites sell branded products in large quantities by unauthorized dealers and thus decided to sue eBay to defend the reputation of its trademarks.
L’Oreal’s perfume business includes fragrances sold under the brands Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Cacharel and Lancome. L’Oreal is the the world’s largest French cosmetics group. Here is their company web site: www.loreal.com
