Make Money With eBay Affiliate Program

The ebay affiliate program, is a great way to make some extra money. Afterall, you don’t need inventories, answering buyers emails and handle anything like when you sell personally on eBay with eBay Affiliate Program. All you need to do is direct people to sign up or buy from eBay.

If someone clicks the link and wins the auction; you get commission. I tested on the eBay Affiliate Program last month, and interesting here’s my last month earnings, total US$265.46. It doesn’t make mountains yet. But I am sure the earnings will steadily grows as I put more effort on it.

ebay affiliate program
Better than adsense since I never earn a decent cent in my first month.

How it works?
Go to the eBay Partner Network and sign up. You will be directed to Commission Junction which handles the commissions for eBay. There are many program in Commission Junction as well that you can join. (Update 2008: CJ no longer handles the affiliates for eBay)

Search for eBay and you will notice that you can become an affiliate for several paid eBay sites like eBay UK, US, Canada, Italy or even France. Pick one or more to join. There are many links provided in Commission Junction that you can use to post up on your site to promote eBay.

For eBay US, once you refer a person to eBay who is not a member and they join, you get referral fees of US$25.00 (provided they become active and buy something within 30 days of registration). When an existing eBay member win or buy anything from eBay, your commission is 50% of the final price.

So, if someone goes to eBay through your link and win that £1 Million Nintendo Wii, you know what you gonna get? That’s right, you get half a million.

How to earn from eBay Affiliate Program?
Jokes aside, it’s fairly easy to work on the eBay Affiliate Program. You just need a website or blog to post your affiliate links. Commission Junction gives you the affiliate tools and links that you can post on your site.

Of course, you need to update your sites constantly and work on the traffics.

I recommend it to all
It was reported that the top 50 ebay affiliates, are all making over a million dollars a year. I guess you can never go wrong with Affiliate Marketing.

I use Build A Niche Store to build my eBay affiliate site. You can too. It is easy and quick.

If you hate the idea of all the nitty-gritty details with selling on eBay, this is certainly a cool way to make some additional money - with the eBay Affiliate Program. Take a look at Build A Niche Store to start your eBay affiliate site the fastest way.

Note: Different eBay sites have different commission and referral fees rates. Check it out once you join Commission Junction.

The eBay affiliate system is one of the easiest money-making methods around at the moment, and is incredibly versatile - from creating live listings on any webpage using the editor kit, to simple text links to insert in articles using the flexible destination tool.

There are entire websites built around the service, including mis-spelt listings searches, feedback filters and snipers, as well as the Build a Niche Store programme.

There are days when I earn more through CJ than I do from eBay sales!!

Hey Jenny, nice work on your website. I’ve stumbled across your ebay site and found your website. funny thing is I see another seller beautycxxxt73 which has the same pictures as you, I mean the same copyright on the pictures? Is that you as well?

By the way, I am in singapore and also one of the craft sellers. i noticed that you also play the price game on eBay. Love the 0.99p and jacked up postage costs. There are quite a number of craft sellers from malaysia these days i noticed too. hopefully the cake is big enough for everyone.

Oh, the Affiliate thingy, yes i joined already and by golly, it works! Great if you ask me. quite complicated to get around but once you get the hang of it, it is wonderful.

    take care and happy ebaying!

I cant understand one thing, maybe my english is not enough perfct :
“It was reported that the top 50 ebay affiliates, are all making over a million dollars a year” . That means that the average affiliate from TOP50 make 20k per year. That gives only 1250 $ per month. Is it really so good deal ? I know, You can make money from few affiliate programs on one site. I just dont understand why this program is so interesting when You have to be in TOP10 to make some bigger money.

Try out BANS now, it works for me…

I have a site http://www.dalekdan.co.uk that uses BANS, and I get a reasonable amount per month, just from ebay UK. Have already made my money back.

I tried out all the other stuff like Amazon, phpNUKE sites for content, adsense, and so on and so on and got absolutely nowhere, even with Adwords paid PPC.

Then brought BANS, put up a site then just expanded with http://www.populartvs.co.uk, myfirstdslr.co.uk, myfamilympv.co.uk and gocarbooting.co.uk just to name a few. Last three are still work in progress, but am getting just over £56 per month from pop tvs, others are slowly gathering momentum.

BANS is $97, erm £50ish quid, so am well in profit over last three months…and no paid PPC yet. Of course the less others use it then better for me, but just have to echo that it is good…

“When an existing eBay member win or buy anything from eBay, your commission is 50% of the final price.
So, if someone goes to eBay through your link and win that £1 Million Nintendo Wii, you know what you gonna get? That’s right, you get half a million.”
This is incorrect in more than one way.
Firstly, it’s a percentage of eBay’s revenue, not the final value.
Secondly, the revenue percentage earned is based on how much revenue you earn eBay per month.
Based on this, it works out at the following:
If the Wii was sold as a UK affiliate, it would earn £11,410.68.
If it was sold as a UK affiliate (presuming that it would register on the US payment scheme even though it’s a UK product) and for the sake of argument calling it a $2 million Wii, it would earn $21,017.72.
Interestingly this shows a case where it’s better to be a UK affiliate than a US one, as on low values products the difference is massively in favour of the US.
