Could eBay be putting all of these steps into place because of the increased competition they are facing from the likes of Amazon Marketplace? I read an article sometime last week that went on about how they are ‘running scared’ (but not in those words) about the the fact that people are leaving eBay and moving on to other platforms.
I am loyal to eBay and will stay with them and I must say, the changes they are putting in place will make the whole experience better.
Happy CNY! Gong Hei Gong Hei! This year must Fatt Tai Choy!
It really is only the feedback changes (buyers not getting a neg) that are worrying me, fees have never really been a concern as I always factor them into my pricing. Hopefully the rumoured “feedback assassins” will not invade my litttle niche as I tend to have a high volume of repeat customers and word of mouth customers, which incidently the new feedback additions will be a positive move in this case
Lets see what happens when the changes come into play…
It’s about time we got something back for giving ebay our cash…especially since the prices have always increased. It seems as though we are being rewarded.
Got onto the Pulse for the First Time!! My sales went mad!

Hey jenny, can you share on your dream gadgets? I tagged you!

Thanks!
Jenny, what do you think of the changes regarding feedback?
While a lot of those changes sound good, the feedback thing has the potential to be terrible. I’ve always used buyer feedback as an indicator for whether I should cancel a bid or even complete a transaction. I don’t care if they win, if a buyer has a ton of negatives that tell me they are impossible to work with or questionably trustworthy, I’m not sending out an expensive item.
Now, that plan is shot. Once the changes go into effect, I definitely won’t be listing anything even remotely expensive.
About time as far as i am concerned. I am a little worried about the changes to moderation, but only time will tell how that pans out.
