Scammed By Paypal Fraud Mail
The scammers are getting better, aren’t they? I panicked as it says
“Resolution Center: Your account access has been limited.” The sender’s email address was service@paypal.com. The email looked so real and I almost wanted to click on the link to verify my account when my senses came back to me.
Looks almost too real with new Paypal logo and email ID.
I hover-ed my mouse over the link and Microsoft Outlook revealed the link at the bottom which says http://payuipal.com. Boy, wasn’t I relieved? I then logged in to my account and found that everything was fine.
It shows that people do get terrified easily when receiving warning messages, often about earnings, memberships or most importantly, monies.
I am just human.
Have you almost got scammed by such email before?

I NEVER believe any email from Paypal and other services I use until I log into my account and see for myself.

(in a naughty mood…)
I received easily 5 spam emails everyday…the content getting professional…
I don’t have any paypal account registered with particular email address. However, i have received spam email claiming that my paypal account on HOLD. Click to resolve…bla bla bla…Nothing more than DELETE it.
Phishing is a huge problem in the UK at the moment - I receive about 2 dozen of these each week, but the big giveaway is that quite a few come to email addresses that are not attached to my eBay or Paypal accounts…
The grammar and punctuation is improving on these emails - a year ago they were so badly constructed it was obvious to most people that they were fake, but scammers have been taking English lessons it seems!
I’m also getting lots of “Account Verification” emails for Natwest Bank, and Royal Bank of Scotland - but I’m not a member of either bank…!
As Paypal and eBay find the ways to combat these fraudsters they just stay one step ahead with their emails. Just never click on a link… but, you have to remember that when you are randomly clicking through your email, it can catch you by surprise for sure. Scott
Just to remind everyone that there are such a domain called.
com.com
You sometimes will see the following URLs, they are all fake one. Just read the URL very carefully.
citi.com.com for citi bank
google.com.com - Google
ebay.com.com - eBay
chase.com.com - Chase online banking
People don’t read very carefully and click on it. It installed a cookie which will collect your information.
Good luck!
