Skype Introduces Mobile Skype Phone
Instant messages and talking on your mic is so out
Communicating over Skype with computers, screens, mic, headphones, messy cables are over with the launching of Skype Phone. The all new Skype Phone is a mobile phone that allows you to call, text, take pictures, call and instant messages your friends anywhere in the world, for free, that is, if you the receiver is also a Skype Mobile user.
Calls between users are free of charge and at a discount for calls to non-users.

The Skype Phone from Hutchison Whampoa’s wireless subsidiary 3.
You can also call anyone using Skype on a computer, if your recipient do not own a Skype Phone, and they can call you on your mobile. United Kingdom will be the first country to try out this seemingly stylish Skype gadget, on 2 Nov 2007. Hopefully, the Skype Phone can be available across Europe and Asia by the end of the year
Price? The Skype handset will retail for £49.99 ($102.92) as part of a pre-pay package, or for free with a contract, includes 3G functionality, a music player, wireless Internet and a 2 megapixel camera.
Well, Skype would better make sure that a substantial amount of users find the Skype Phone and packages attractive enough. Otherwise, I don’t see anyone would find it very smart to fork out $102.92 for a Skype Phone. I’d rather sit in front of my wireless laptop to chat or send messages to friends, and I’m not limited to using only Skype that way.
Skype is not the only VOIP service in the world. But if you are using them on eBay, please look at Skype and Skype only. If you are offering buyers to call you over Skype on support, it may be a good idea to get the Skype Phone. But then, your buyers are also required to be a Skype member. Well, your ebay buyers and you do not have much choice, do you?

I think this handset will have a number of mobile serivce providers worried. They may experience a drop in profits.
About using them on eBay. I thought eBay took Skype off eBay?
Now if only ebay could FINALLY put it all together and integrate skype into ebay auctions…
