How To Cheat On eBay & Win Auctions Everytime

No doubt eBay has since evolved as one of the biggest marketplace today. Particularly in recent years, I realized, competition has become fierce where tens of thousands of new sellers and buyers entered the eBay marketplace.

With about 320 million customers every year on eBay, it is not a surprise to find myself frustrated over losing eBay auctions. hmmmph!

Remember watching and eyeing that Britney Spears original signature poster for so long, only to find that someone else always seem to get ahead of you? Fret not! Here are some foolproof ways to get ahead of winning your eBay auction!

Winning that eBay bid.
Winning an eBay auction can be easy.

1. Misspelled Auction Title – It is possible some eBay seller can make mistakes during listing. For example, try searching for potscard instead of postcard. Again, few buyers will view this item, resulting in very few bids and lower price.

2. Odd Categories – if you are looking for that vintage film postcard, other than trying in the Postcards category, search out categories like Antiques or Collectibles. Fewer buyers will do this. And if you come across some great bargains, less people will be bidding for it and your possibility of winning will be much higher.

3. Unpredictable Amount – Set your bid on a maximum plus a few cents extra. For example, bid on $20.04, instead of $19.00 or $20.00 like other people usually do. This will snatch the item away from anybody bidding on $20.00. Catch your competitor on a rush during the last few seconds of the auction.

eBay Advanced Search Function
Search eBay items ending at ghostly hours.

4. Unusual Ending Time – When browsing items, look for those which are likely to be unexposed for most users. That is, items which ends on an uncommon hour. Haunt down eBay item which ends like 4 in the morning. Less people will be eyeing them and this helps to keep competition low.

5. End Auctions Early – Many sellers list lots of items for auction and if you find something you want, you can ask the eBay seller to set up a Buy-It-Now for you. Some good sellers will offer you discounts or special deals which could be a money-saver to you.

6. Auction Sniper – An effective way on winning that auction is by using a wide variety of bid snipping software available. They work by placing automatic bids on the eBay item in the closing seconds of any eBay auction. This will improve your chance of winning significantly.

Look into other eBay category and think of some eBay listing spelling errors.
Just a little of creative thinking to higher your chance of winning an eBay auction.

With these tips on hand, I know you will be winning that piece of David Beckham Home Soccer Football Jersey you have been dying to get.

Well you know what Jen? If I were a pasar malam seller or petaling street vendor, I’d hate to have someone like you as a customer. You’d be asking me “can lessen by .4 cents can or not”?!

… joke Jen. I should think you brighten everyone’s day…

Boon, yea, and the bid is a contract. the seller will not be able to retract it anymore. Be careful when keying in your selling price  Btw, you can get some really great ebay bargains under $1 at lastminute-auction.com.

Jerry, I don’t see why not? Although competition is fierce, no one seller will fully monopolise a niche market. Sellers can choose where they wanted to buy. And the fact that traffic is immensely huge on eBay makes making money much easier, even than blogging, honestly.

    Andrew, mmmmm..

You have some great tips here Jenny! I have used a couple of the tips that you have on here including No. 6 Auction Sniper. Just this week I caught holy hell from a blog post that I made about this very subject. The other posters were brutal about the subject. Other posters were really getting mad about people doing this to win eBay auctions. I didn’t realize it was a no-no. It isn’t against eBay rules is it? I have never heard of it being wrong.

My favorite tip of yours is No. 1! I have used this to my advantage many a time through a site called http://www.auctionoops.com They research as many misspelled eBay auction items as possible and link them to their site. They make it pretty easy for you to search for these items as they have done all the hard work. You can input your search item with the CORRECT spelling and search away. They have over a hundred and fifty brand name items from Abercrombie to Hewlett Packard to Playstation to Rolex!

Just like you said in No. 1, fewer viewings means fewer bids means you might get this item for cheap! We all want that don’t we!

Great blog and great advise! Thank you!

  8. [...] What is auction sniper? An auction sniper bids for you automatically in the last second. You simply enter the auction item number, the maximum bid price you are willing to pay the item and your eBay account details so the software can log into your account. You won’t be necessary paying the maximum bid price that you have entered after winning. The sniping system will automatically increase the bid price accordingly from the current bid price. Do you still recall that auction sniping is one of the formula to win auctions everytime? [...]

better than all of that is not to buy anything from ebay, it is becoming even more ridiculous and the environment is so infected with lot of scammers, fake sellers and buyers.. ebay and paypal themselves are unable to be committed to their roles now with this muddy market!
